What it's about

Lack of movement costs German companies billions every year through back complaints, cardiovascular disease and burnout. Yet it doesn't take a company gym: even a 10-minute movement break per hour measurably reduces absence days.

Why it pays off

Studies by the BKK health insurer show: companies with a structured movement programme have 18% fewer back-related absence days. § 3 No. 34 EStG allows up to €600/employee/year tax-free — movement offers are the most common use of this allowance.
